Race Summary

SAINT INDEED tracked the leaders three deep as part of the second flight racing to the bend, shifted out nearing upper stretch while being urged to advance and continued with a steady response to wrest command in time under firm handling. PASSIONATELY SWEET, forwardly placed attending a rival's pace, moved to take a clear advantage nearing upper stretch, held sway past the furlong marker, then drifted out in late stages while failing to contain the winner. HOLY CLASSIC broke outwards bumping LIMEHOUSE DANCER, shifted off the inside tracking the leaders in second flight, moved to challenge racing into upper stretch, then altered course in the final sixteenth avoiding tight quarters. LIMEHOUSE DANCER, bumped at the start, angled to the inside gaining a position in the second flight racing into the turn but had no closing bid. HURRAY DAY settled off the second flight racing outside foes and never gained contention while continuing evenly into the stretch. INDIAN ARTIFACT was urged to dispute the pace along the rail from the break, couldn't match a rival on the turn and emptied out nearing upper stretch. BLOOMING FLOWER never seriously menaced. PENNY PICNIC trailed the field to the stretch. TWIN POWER settled along the inside off the second flight early but lacked a closing response. FOLLOWING THE RACE THE RIDER OF HOLY CLASSIC LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE WINNER WHICH WAS DISALLOWED.
